Watsu® by TWave Aquatic Bodywork
Trina LeBrasseur, LMT, Oregon Lic# 4629
Float, Stretch, Breathe, Be Free...
Watsu®, whose name comes from WATer shiatSU, in it's simplest form is a floating massage.
Your session is composed of an extraordinary fusion of stretching, foot
reflexology, Shiatsu point work, stillness and dance, while your entire body is
swished and swayed gently through 98° water. This allows me to ease the restrictions in your muscles and joints while you experience the healing
properties of the water. My support allows your body to let go of it's tension and pain in ways that are not possible on land.
Virtually everyone who receives a Watsu opens their eyes at the end of a session and describes it as the most relaxing experience of their lives. One
characteristic that makes Watsu stand out from massage and so many other forms of bodywork is that it gives you the opportunity to go beyond the
physical. Bodywork practitioners and physical therapists all over the world use it for treating stress, chronic back pain, arthritis, sleep disorders,
trauma, fibromyalgia, and a host of other conditions.
Trina LeBrasseur, LMT, is an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist
and a Certified Watsu Practitioner. She has had the
privilege to
study
directly with Harold Dull, creator of Watsu at the School of Shiatsu and Massage at Harbin Hot Springs in Middletown California. She has been a Watsu
Practitioner at Breitenbush Hot Springs in Detroit Oregon, and a massage therapist for several years at various Portland spas and clinics. Trina currently
practices at Urban Haven, and is creating opportunities at residential pools and assisted living facilities in the
greater Portland area.
